Exclusive: TechCommunity @ Fujitsu Forum – A Look at Future Workplaces Today [Video]

Reorganizing the office in favor of a clean and sleek, no-frills-and-cabling-chaos workplace has been a top priority among Fujitsu hardware engineers who design our client-computing devices in recent years. At the Fujitsu Forum in Munich, they showed us the latest result of their efforts: Clean Desk 2.0, a prototype that aims to combine the strengths of mobile computing with those of a classic workplace.

Clean Desk 2.0 was developed in close collaboration with several non-IT companies that provided knowledge and design suggestions in areas like ergonomics as well as furniture and indoor lighting design. The result is a cable-free table with integrated "hot spots" that serve as power sources for various devices and peripherals and an integrated palm vein sensor that prevents unauthorized access to a company's office infrastructure. Heinz Wagner, Head of Future Workplace Offerings, Client Computing Devices, has more details for you in his stunning demonstration below.
