we are facing with two majors problems at the moment with the DX200 unified storage system:
1.No support for Dedup when having Unified controllers on the Dx200.
2.No options for Base-T 10GB Controllers with Unified controllers on the Dx200.
on each other storage vendors such as Hpe\Netapp\Emc ,when having Unified controllers thus limitations dose not exists, actually its comes as factory Standards .
please advise if there is a way to resolve thus limitations?is it related to a software problem? much appreciate for your answers.
Please find below the answers from our technical team.
1.No support for Dedup when having Unified controllers on the Dx200. Deduplication/compression and a Unified firmware version aren’t compatible. That's how this system was designed, this cannot be fixed in any way now.
2.No options for Base-T 10GB Controllers with Unified controllers on the Dx200. 10G Base-T option is available only for iSCSI, for NAS connection (standard Ethernet NIC) 10G optical SFP CA is available.
If we can be of further assistance, don't hesitate.
