DX60 S3 iSCSI with Server 2012 R2
26.02.2016, 18:42

Hi,
I'm currently struggling with a DX60 config and looking for a howto to set up a DX60 S3.

Environment:
- 1 Server 2012 R2, 2 NICS for iSCSI (129.168.10.1/192.168.20.1)

- DX60 S3 with two controllers.

Want to set up with MPIO, so I configured ports of DX60 with the following IP

CM0/0 192.168.10.10
CM0/1 192.168.20.10

CM1/0 192.168.10.11
CM1/1 192.168.20.11

Questions:
1.)iscsi name: same for all ports? I configured different names.

2SmilePort group: all four ports in one group?
3.)Host group: how do I configure both subnets from the host into one group

Only have one portal IP address in iSCSI Initiator in Server 2012R2. Get an error for MPIO if I choose Round Robin and accept settings.

Maybe later a second host server should get access to the storage. So should I use all 4 ports now for host1 and reconfigure ports later or is it better to use only 1port on each controller, so second server can easy be added later.

Searched a lot in the web, but documentation is really spare.

Thanks for help.
