Idea Contest to Find New Fields of Application for PalmSecure™

Earlier this month, FUJITSU started an international idea contest about use cases for its PalmSecure™ technology, which detects the blood flow patterns in the palm of a user's hand with infrared light and thus far is mainly deployed for authentication purposes.

We are especially interested in use cases for a small, integrated device with PalmSecure technology which matches palm vein patterns on the device (e.g. against a smart card carried by the user) providing highly secure authentication as a standalone function which can be easily be integrated into complex environments. FUJITSU is now looking for further use cases and answers to the following questions:

  • Do you have ideas for new application areas for a match-on-device system with FUJITSU PalmSecure™ technology?
  • Which use cases can you imagine in the fields such as government, finance, enterprise, automotive, retail, industry 4.0, energy or others for this technology?
  • How can the device appear in different usage scenarios? Where can the technology be applied in general?

We would be delighted to welcome you and your customers to our new contest and discuss your innovative ideas and concepts. The finalists will present their ideas to FUJITSU experts and may even see it integrated into one of our mainline products and solutions. The best customer ideas will also be rewarded with great prizes – the first winner gets a FUJITSU LIFEBOOK U904 with PalmSecure™ sensor, the second a FUJITSU LIFEBOOK U574 Ultrabook™, and the third a FUJITSU STYLISTIC M702 semi-ruggedized tablet PC.
