Finding the Oldest PRIMERGY Server Alive

Following the launch of the first PRIMERGY server back in 1994, Fujitsu has released a new edition of its industry-standard x86 server models roughly every two years – always with a strong focus in R&D on the main attributes our customers expect: quality, efficiency and agility. That's a long tradition indeed, and one we are definitely proud of – few other hardware vendors have managed to create product lines that became brand names in their own right thanks to their excellent performance, superb reliability and first-rate efficiency. Plus, the 20th anniversary also provides a great opportunity to start a contest among our customers – to find out who runs the "Oldest PRIMERGY Alive."

Thanks to the industry's broadest range of x86-servers, Fujitsu's server portfolio has helped to shape the ICT business for 20 years. Over these two decades, we have provided our customers with hardware and solution packages that enabled them to turn their IT from a necessary evil into a business enabler. Customer- and market-inspired innovations ensure we deliver the most efficient, best performing server solutions in every class to help our customers stay ahead of rapidly changing business environments. This means that our engineers and developers have not only created products that align perfectly with the ever-evolving IT landscape, but also anticipated new trends and customer wishes before anyone else did – such as the growing demand for energy-efficient and ecologically sound server systems. Today, our PRIMERGYs are as renowned for leading benchmarks for integer processing power as they are for setting world records in energy efficiency. Comprehensive and rigorous testing assures our systems are of highest quality at all times and exceed industry standards.

Based on this track record, we would like to learn about the most significant experiences you have made with products from the PRIMERGY portfolio, as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations. Better still, we have launched a contest among customers and partners to find the fittest, most durable systems that were purchased during that era and are still active today – in short, the "Oldest PRIMERGY Alive." To participate, all you have to do is to read the rules and fill out this form. Registration is open until October 31, 2014. Prizes are awarded to the owners of the three longest-running systems and include a trip to the FUJITSU FORUM 2014 in Munich (November 19 and 20). The overall winner also receives one of our latest-generation, dual-socket FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX2540 M1 rack models; the contestants coming in second and third receive a FUJITSU Client Computing Device.
