Hyper-V - Virtual Machine OS ROK
11.11.2015, 12:19

Hi,

I have installed Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 on a Primergy TX2540 with Server View. This server will have two virtual machines, one DC and one SQL server.

I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard ROK license for 2 VM. When I create the virtual machine on Hyper-V and start the boot from the Fujitsu DVD I get the following error message

It seems to me that the BIOS from the virtual machine isn't Fujitsu and that's why it does not work.

Is there any known work around?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Carlos,

Could you please add the error message you get/got? It looks like Copy & Paste didn't work, and our support team won't be able to help without it.

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards

Hi tbckr,

Meanwhile I have solved this problem. I download the following bios virtual machine from https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht000616 and I have edited the line

wbemSettingData.BiosLockString = "LENOVO_________________________"

TO

wbemSettingData.BiosLockString = "FUJITSU_________________________"

Watch out for the 32 characters it requires, for fujitsu it is FUJITSU plus 25 underline _

Thanks everyone for their help!
