Global SELECT Innovation Awards: Fujitsu Invites Entries

Now in their second year, Fujitsu's Global SELECT Innovation Awards recognize excellence among our channel partners. More specifically, they honor SELECT Partner Program Members' innovative use of our solutions for technology integration, mobility, big data, security, cloud, integrated computing and software-defined infrastructures. The overall winner, which will be chosen by a panel of jurors drawn from across Fujitsu, receives US-$10,000 in marketing funds.

Today, Fujitsu has opened up the race for the second installment of its Global SELECT Innovation Awards, a contest designed to acknowledge the value of its channel partners. Over 16,000 SELECT Partners worldwide are eligible to enter; the champion will not only win $10,000 in joint marketing and sales development programs, but also a trip to Tokyo to join the Fujitsu Forum 2017 as a VIP. Prior to that, the three finalists will be invited to the Award ceremony, which is part of the Fujitsu Forum 2016 in Munich (this includes a travel and hotel package for one person). In addition, prizes include a decent amount of media coverage.

Fujitsu channel partners have until September 30, 2016 to submit nominations for the Global SELECT Innovation Awards. The winner and two finalists will be selected by a panel of judges drawn from across Fujitsu. Nominees should be able to demonstrate their impact in creating a Human-Centric Intelligent Society and how their offerings are closely aligned with Fujitsu's Technology and Service Vision – with particular focus on the areas of integration, mobility, big data, security, cloud, integrated computing, and software-defined connected infrastructure solutions.

In 2015, the Global SELECT Innovation Award went to Italy's Gruppomega, a leader in the design and construction of turnkey technological systems for industrial, commercial and public buildings, for its support of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria's Saf@med project to analyze food production and sustainable use of resources for the region. Runners-up were German IT solution house CSW, for a High Performance Computing (HPC) project improving research and development of industrial fans and ventilation systems, and Greek solutions and service provider Kernel IT, for its Self-Service Cloud App, a virtualized solution based on Fujitsu infrastructure that helps digitize municipal government services in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Salvatore Cipriano, account manager at Gruppomega, has since commented on the company's victory as follows: "Winning the Fujitsu Global SELECT Innovation Award has really helped us to grow, and it enabled our company to become known globally, across the Fujitsu network. Through the SELECT Partner Program, we have been able to truly harness talent from both Fujitsu and our own organization to develop and deploy solutions that help our customers to embrace digital transformation."
