PRIMERGY RX4770 M3: Just Launched, Already a Record-Holder

On June 6, 2016 we launched the latest generation of the FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX4770 M3. As this high-end x86 server is an ideal fit to consolidate existing IT infrastructures, virtualization capabilities are of utmost importance to get the most out of four sockets and 6 TB of memory.

As such, our PRIMERGY Performance Lab in Paderborn achieved a great benchmark record as the fast 4-way system in a matched pair configuration delivered 61.32 @ 52 tiles in the performance only category of the VMmark 2.x benchmark.1 That is about 29% better than the previous version and more than 1% better than the competition.2 But not only performance is of interest, our focus also is on performance with a sustainable power design. In addition, we can gladly announce that the PRIMERGY RX4770 M3 (pictured above) also achieved a PPKW score of 30.4559 @ 52 tiles in a matched pair configuration and thus represents the most energy efficient 4-way virtualization system in VMmark 2.x overall.3 This is about 33% better than the previous version.
