Fujitsu Forum 2017: Replay the Highlights, Episode 2

The Fujitsu Forum Munich 2017 is over, and as per usual, there was pretty little time to look into, much less appreciate the full spectrum of keynotes, breakout sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and forays into future technologies. Hence, we've decided to help you revisit the convention's main events that you may have missed while being on the ground.

In recent years, few topics have caught as much attention and prompted as many discussions as the ongoing proliferation of ICT-induced automation solutions across all areas of industrial production, known collectively under the moniker Industry 4.0. However, while most observers will agree that the process itself is unstoppable, they do have pretty diverse ideas about what the resulting production and IT environments should look like and connect – and happen to favor clearly disparate strategies regarding implementation. Unfortunately, this can lead to fissures within project teams, where one side does not understand the other, which in turn will harm the transition process. By contrast, Fujitsu has long preferred more collaborative efforts in which we work together with customers and partners to create solutions that work to the satisfaction of everyone involved. And that is exactly what Dr. Rolf Werner, Head of Central Europe for Fujitsu, talks about in his keynote on co-creating real business benefits with the help of Industry 4.0 technologies that you can see below.
