Global Intelligence for the CIO: Interview with Neil Clarke, CIO of Heathrow

Back in June this year, London's Heathrow Airport reopened its Terminal 2 for business after seven years of planning and construction that involved over 30,000 workers. During this period, they needed a partner that was able to deliver a robust and flexible high-speed network that would underpin all of the new terminal's critical operations within an acceptable amount of time – and picked Fujitsu to do the job.

The team at has recently conducted an extensive interview with Heathrow's CIO Neil Clarke who is responsible for some major core technologies that make the airport buzz. In it, he explains the challenges of the project, the reasons why Fujitsu was hired, the details of the solution, and how everyone involved pulled through until it was successfully completed. You can find the whole interview, entitled "Heathrow's T2: Partnering for resilience and innovation," at i-cio's Innovation site.
