MultiCards Reader 24en1 USB 3.0 3.5"

Some days ago Fujitsu told us that ref S26361-F3077-L52 went EOL and we should sell
S26361-F3077-L50 instead. That stares me cause we have no notice about that on the Information Hub. From my point of view Fujitsu it's giving one step backwards changing a USB 3.0 equipment for an old USB 2.0. E/P420 models only got a couple of USB 3.0 on the rear. Ok, that's much better than on the E/P410 where we have none, but nowadays this is not enough. Where we're supposed to connect the A-DATA USB 3.0 memory sticks or any of the portable HD's 3.0 that Fujitsu also don't sell anymoreConfused Frontal connectors are easier and faster to use, and that multicard reader joint with the USB 3.0 PCIe on E/P420 or just the muticard reader for E/P520 was a good option to solve that. Now we have no Fujitsu alternative and I can't imagine the reason why the multicard reader that has to go EOL was not the USB 2.0. 3.0 it's supposed to be 100% compatibility backwards and it's just 4€ more expensive than 2.0.
Could anyone, give us a reasonConfused Any alternative aside going up to E/P720 models or aboveConfused

Thanks.

Hi Guillermo,

You're right, we normally wouldn't have switched back to an older technology; only in this case, we had to withdraw the USB 3.0 version of the combined MultiCard/USB 3.0 reader because of the low volume sold.

Best regards,

Well, in some cases I do understand the withdrawal of products which are not so well asked for, and with the disappearance of 3.5" disks the bay is no longer present in many cases.

Maybe it would be a good idea to integrate the reader/USB-Unit into the next generation of Esprimo cases.
