ESPRIMO P556/2 NO POST EXTERNAL HDMI
24.05.2017, 17:16

Hi,
As in the object,I have added a NVIDIA GF GT730 with 2GB DDR3 and if I connect a Monitor through HDMI the PC doesn't boot, neither POST; same issue if I connect at the same time DVI-D and VGA.
Boots fine if only one connector is used ( VGA or DVI ); boots fine if I use the integrated graphic with a DP>HDMI adapter.
Tried several VGA CARDS: GF710, GF730, GTX1030; AMD HD5450, HD6450, R240, R270 same identical issue.
The PC is perfect, I have tried on three different PCs with identical results.

Any advice ?

Thanks

Luigi Formisano

Hi, have you try to get into BIOS setup and modify the main VGA used. To gain Access to BIOS just press F2 on the PC startup. Go to Advance System Configuration, Grahics Configuration and there tell the System to use PCI-Express slot as Primary Display. If not needed, disable Internal Graphics so you will free the RAM reserved for that functionSmile You can check the info in this manual (page 39).

Hope that helps you. Sorry but right now I don't have a D556/2 at the office to verify the right names and the right manual but surely it will work. I've got many D556 working that way.

Thanks for advice; I already tried that way but nothing changed. The Fujitsu support answered me linking a white paper with allowed graphic card.
